Boat Taxis to Run Next Month
Boat taxis are expected to run on the Han River in Seoul from next month.
The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced Sunday that it has decided to run taxis on the Han River from Oct. 11 between Ttukseom and Yeouido as part of efforts to ease Seoul's severe traffic congestion in the morning and evening.
The taxis finished their test-driving successfully Sept. 8.
Reportedly, it takes around 15 minutes to go to Ttukseom from Yeouido by the taxi.
The city plans to expand the service from November, enabling passengers to reach various destinations in Seoul.
The first ever water transportation service will cost 5,000 won for each passenger and the fee will be charged depending on distance.
