A male Korean traveler who returned from Thailand has been confirmed to be infected with cholera, the Korea Center for Disease Control and Prevention said.
The state-run center said Tuesday that the 20-year-old traveler arrived at Incheon International Airport last Thursday on a flight from Bangkok.
``We quarantined the passenger, along with 10 others from the flight who showed symptoms of diarrhea after leaving the aircraft,'' a spokesman of the center said.
The center is currently conducting an epidemiological investigation to find the source of the disease.
