Korean visitors to the Musee de Louvre in Paris will be able to enjoy the art pieces there with explanation in their mother tongue from the end of this year, following Korean Air's sponsorship of the museum's new multimedia guide.

Korean Air and the French museum signed a contract regarding the sponsorship at the museum, Monday.

The multimedia guide, which will replace the current audio guide, was designed to offer video functions and interactive content to visitors.

Although 90,000 Koreans visit annually, the museum has not added Korean to the current audio guide services that include French, English, Italian, German, Spanish and Japanese.

``We are proud to be able to take part in the Louvre's new multimedia guide project to help enhance visitors' viewing experience. Korean Air is committed to promoting cultural exchange between Korea and the global destinations we serve. We strive to complement excellent service by offering Korean and other visitors to Paris the best tools to appreciate the very best works of art,'' Kang Dal-ho, managing vice president of the European headquarters, said.
