Guidelines in forming school academic records have been set up for secondary teachers. The Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development announced on Thursday that it has compiled the tips in two books and will distribute them to all middle and high schools across the country.
The ministry expects that colleges could rely more on school academic records by training high school teachers to write the student evaluation papers in detail.
To date, many colleges weren’t able to refer to the school records, as they didn’t specify students’ activities and achievement during their school life.
The guidelines advise teachers to detail each student’s school life. For example, how many books they read a month, what kind of books they like and descriptions on their impressions of the books. Based on the specified records, teachers can also help students develop their potential and aptitude, a ministry spokesman said.
