Hyundai Engineering & Construction (HDEC) has been rated as having the worst industrial accident record.
Solidarity for Worker's Health Thursday said it placed HDEC in this position based on the number of workers' deaths due to industrial accidents last year.
The organization, which obtained the data from the Ministry of Labor, included the number of workers' deaths due to industrial accidents at sub-contractor companies.
HDEC had eight industrial accidents that killed 10 workers, topping the list of workers' deaths.
In comparison Daelim Industrial and SK Engineering & Construction both had eight victims, Samsung Corporation and GS Engineering & Construction, seven, while Lotte Engineering & Construction, Poong Lim Corporation, Hyundai Development, Hyundai Heavy Industries all had six deaths in their operations.
Ace Construction had the largest number of deaths of workers in a single day, which was four.
The organization said that it announced the list in order to raise awareness about workers' safety and expose companies' lack of efforts for preventing industrial accidents.
The announcement was made before the International Commemoration Day for Dead and Injured Workers, which takes place Saturday.
