LG CNS is teaming up with U.S. artificial intelligence (AI) software company Palantir Technologies as it accelerates its AI transformation (AX) business.

The company announced Thursday that it signed a strategic partnership agreement with Palantir in the United States on Wednesday (local time) to bring Palantir’s AI and data integration tools into LG CNS’s enterprise transformation projects.

Palantir offers globally recognized enterprise platforms, including Foundry, which integrates and refines fragmented corporate data to build data-driven operational systems, and Artificial Intelligence Platform (AIP), which combines generative AI with unified data environments to support real-time decision-making.

“This strategic partnership will serve as an important turning point in expanding LG CNS’s AX business to a global level,” LG CNS CEO Hyun Shin-gyoon said. “By combining our industry expertise with Palantir’s AI platform capabilities, we aim to drive our clients’ digital and AI-led transformation.”

Under the new partnership, LG CNS will tailor Palantir’s Foundry and AIP platforms to meet the specific needs of its enterprise clients. To support the initiative, the company is establishing a dedicated unit to handle Palantir-related business, called Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE).

The FDE team will work closely with Palantir to identify and execute high-value AX projects across industries including manufacturing, energy, electronics and logistics.

The company plans to expand the business, starting with LG Group affiliates that are currently evaluating to implement Palantir’s platforms.

LG CNS has already completed a successful proof-of-concept project using Foundry and AIP platforms for quality management at an LG affiliate and recently signed a full-scale implementation contract based on the results.

The company said it has already validated those platforms internally. By integrating Foundry with its own data and analytics platforms, it has built a system that can analyze business and operational data in real time while using AIP to support risk forecasting and decision-making.

Building on hands-on experience gained from internal implementations, the company plans to leverage the expertise to expand its business with external clients.
