Adoption Bill Petition

Listen

Dear editor,

I deliver my deep gratitude and encouragement to the honorable president and the legislative commissioners leading national affairs.

The matter to be submitted is concerning the adoption law applying at present. At present, our adoption law is different from that of advanced countries _ is impossible for domestic or foreign couples to adopt unless they can obtain a consent or renunciation note from the child's biological parents. It is clear that this abnormal procedure deprives young children _ innocents who should absolutely have a better environment _ and their prospective adoptive parents of their rights.

In the case of developed countries, if no connection is continued for more than six months after the real parents leave, abandon or consign their children into care, child protection laws allow for them to be adopted.

At present, a similar bill has already been submitted to the National Assembly, but has yet to see any action taken.

Surely enough there might be a large number of pending problems in front of our leaders, but for the sake of a pitiful generation growing as orphans due to the apathy of the established generation, I earnestly call on them to pass this new adoption law as soon as possible to help establish a caring welfare nation.

This is the hope of all people volunteering or working at adoption institutions.

Hopefully, no matter how many more important matters there are, I hope they review its contents again, and allow the helpless children to embrace a bright and fresh tomorrow.

May God bless the president, legislative commissioners and the people of our nation.
