Design festival stylizes philanthropy

A design festival kicked off Wednesday, adding to the long list of design events concluding the year.

The 2010 Seoul Design Festival, organized by the 34-year-old “DESIGN” magazine, began its ninth edition at the Coex Hall C.

The event focuses on bringing together designers, marketers and trend researchers in one space. This year’s theme is philanthropic design used in daily life, such as the emblematic Pink Ribbon, Olympic mascots or NGOs, along with economic and environmental work.

The event’s main exhibition “Design Trend Now” provides a direction communicative and exhibition space for brands and consumers to collaborate.
