L'Escape Hotel expands services for pets

L'Escape Hotel, the first stand-alone brand of Shinsegae Chosun Hotel, has expanded its services for pets in a bid to offer more comfort to guests who want to enjoy time off with their animal companions.
L'Escape Hotel has recently begun a dog stroller rental service for its guests and those visiting its Palais de Chine restaurant in collaboration with premium stroller brand Airbuggy.
The hotel has also begun offering premium pet food to guests who use its pet packages or those who use the pet zone within Palais de Chine.
In 2018, Shinsegae Chosun Hotel, the accommodation arm of retail giant Shinsegae, opened a boutique hotel with its own brand L'Escape in downtown Seoul. Since then, the boutique hotel has gained popularity on the back of its distinguished services that allow guests to stay with their pets.
The hotel also created the pet zone, in which pet owners can have meals with their dogs, for the first time among domestic hotels.
The hotel operates two kinds of pet packages ― Beloved Friends and Dine with Friends.
The Beloved Friends package offers a complimentary welcome dog kit that includes a premium shampoo, mist and two towels. Pet waste bags and snacks are also offered in the package that can be used at about 210,000 won ($178) with a one-night stay at a standard room.
The Dine with Friends package includes dinner at Palais de Chine or breakfast in one's room with food for pets, in addition to the benefits of the Beloved Friends package. The package price begins at 260,000 won.
The hotel also offers a wide variety of options for those who want to spend quality time with their pets on special days such as their dog's birthday. The charged options include balloon decorations and cone hats for the dogs and dessert.
“We have begun a dog stroller rental service as there have been an increasing number of guests who want to create good memories with their pets,” said Jang Gyeong-il who heads the hotel's marketing team. “L'Escape Hotel is the only hotel in Korea in which guests can use both rooms and restaurants with their pets.”
