Millennium Hilton to host New Zealand food festival

Cafe 395, the Millennium Seoul Hilton's flagship all-day-dining and buffet restaurant, will host a New Zealand Food Festival until July 7, highlighting fresh and healthy ingredients from New Zealand.

During the festival, guest chef Mark Harman will lead the kitchen on how to create New Zealand cuisine and how to best utilize the country's ingredients.

The items showcased include kumara coconut and lemongrass soup; marinated New Zealand green-lipped mussels with New Zealand avocado and lime oil; grilled rosemary and garlic New Zealand lamb cutlets with salsa verde; BBQ New Zealand beef skewers with capsicum, courgettes, mushrooms and red onion; and Manuka honey roast pumpkin and kumara.

Even New Zealand desserts are being served such as pavlova with New Zealand kiwi and cream, carrot cake with New Zealand cream cheese icing and chocolate raspberry torte with New Zealand butter.

Air France-KLM, Accor launch enhanced loyalty program

Staring June 20, members of the Flying Blue and Le Club AccorHotels loyalty programs can enjoy Miles+Points, an innovative opportunity to earn points and miles simultaneously while traveling with both companies.

For the first time in the European travel industry, Accor Group and Air France-KLM Group are strengthening their existing partnership by offering a dual reward plan for their entire global loyalty customer base.

Every time customers travel on a flight marketed and operated by Air France and/or KLM, or stay a night at an Accor hotel, they will now simultaneously earn both Flying Blue Miles and Le Club AccorHotels Rewards points.

To take advantage of the Miles+Points service, members must link their accounts on flyingblue.com or the Le Club AccorHotels website. After registering, customers will earn miles and points automatically when flying with Air France and/or KLM or staying in a Le Club AccorHotels participating hotel.

Kolon hotels launch vacation packages

Kolon-operated hotels in Busan and Gyeongju have come up with a promotion for those who want to enjoy summer with various packages.

The Gyeongju Kolon Hotel will open its outdoor swimming pool from July 13 to Aug. 3 and to celebrate the opening, the property will provide its Garden Swimming package that features a complimentary breakfast for two, two tickets for the swimming pool and vouchers for a smoothie along with a one-night accommodation.

The Kolon Seacloud Hotel in Busan has launched its rooftop swimming package featuring a one-night stay and two tickets to the pool with oceanfront views. Located on the fourth floor, it's a good spot for taking gorgeous pictures. For children, a jacuzzi-style hot tub is also available. The promotion will run until the end of August.

Shinsegae Chosun Hotel offers summer packages

Shinsegae Chosun Hotel showcases its summer packages to help guests enjoy a memorable summer vacation.

The Westin Chosun Seoul presents its seasonal special package named “Summer POP Hits” from June 28 to Sept. 1. The hotel provides guests with a chance to experience British pop music from the 1970 and 1980s in memorable ways. The package includes FIBRENO's British rain bag which was designed exclusively for guests. In addition, guests can enjoy a Macallan whisky cocktail in the hotel's Lounge and Bar as well as Newcastle Brown Ale with fish and chips in their own rooms through the in-room dining service.

The L'Escape Hotel's summer package, or Summer Pop Up with which guests can see, hear and fully enjoy pop music, runs from July 5 to Sept. 1, also features a Pop Music & Video Night Zone. Furthermore, the property plans to provide its guests with a brand-new experience by offering Salon De L'Escape in which guests enjoy educational programs on wine, cocktails, flowers, books, music and pets.
