Taipei's average temperature is 15 degrees Celsius, which is hotter than the winter time in Korea, making it an ideal tourist destination for Koreans in the season, according to the Department of Information and Tourism (DIT) at the Taipei City Government.
The DTI hosted a press conference in Seoul, Tuesday, to promote the Taiwanese capital's winter travel courses and packages for Korean tourists, in addition to its already famous convenient transportation system and a wide variety of food.

In partnership with China Airlines, Korean travel agency Mode Tour and e-commerce travel platform KKday, the DIT introduced flight and hotel packages, semi-guided tour packages and self-guided tour packages.
It added that those tour packages and courses are prepared for diverse types of travelers including working people, friends and families.
“Taipei is a beautiful and attractive city featuring a harmonious blend of the old and new with Taipei 101 Tower, hot springs in Beitou, north of Taipei, and the old port city of Dadaocheng,” DIT director Chen Su-yu said.
“We hope many people will travel to Taipei this winter as we are offering various travel packages and events for Korean tourists to enjoy Taipei in winter.”
Taiwanese actor Jasper Liu also participated in the press conference to introduce various tourist attractions in Taipei, including the Beitou hot springs.
As part of its promotion, the DIT is offering an event of the Korean Gourmet-Famous Restaurants of Taipei until Nov. 30, under which Korean tourists can receive discounts if they share pictures of their food after visiting the renowned restaurants.
