The JW Marriott Seoul is set to reopen on Aug. 20 after an eight-month renovation.
The property closed for remodeling starting this year -- the first time since its opening in September 2000 -- under a joint project with Marriott International to bring the “genuine perfection of luxury” to Korea, and furthermore, Asia Pacific.
To provide a luxury destination ensuring lavish accommodations, exceptionally fine dining and dynamic entertainment, world-renowned architects and interior designers participated in the renovation that has transformed the lobby, rooms, banquet halls and spa and fitness club into grand yet classy facilities.
In particular, the remodeling has drastically upgraded in-house restaurants, including a steakhouse and an Italian restaurant as well as a Japanese eatery with a sushi bar, to serve haute cuisine by top chefs from all around the world.
Plus, its Marquis Thermal Spa and Fitness Club will become a true wellness place in the hectic urban area. The facility, the largest of its kind in Korean hotels, houses up-to-date fitness equipment as well as a swimming pool, a sauna, and diverse leisure sports programs including scuba diving, rock climbing, golf and squash.
The hotel consists of 379 rooms, including two penthouses and 32 suites.
