Two Ambassador hotels in Seoul are featuring oysters in their restaurants until the end of February.

At Novotel Ambassador Gangnam, guests can enjoy fresh chilled oysters with shallots and red wine vinegar sauce, oyster gratin with Chardonnay Sabayon and warm oysters with oven-dried tomatoes and basil cream sauce, among others. The dishes, served at its French restaurant, The Bistro, are priced between 18,000 won and 22,000 won.

The multi-course oyster meal includes freshly chilled oysters, an oyster vol au vent with black garlic and mushroom sauce and a choice of sea bream and halibut fillets, or grilled beef tenderloin or sirloin as entree. The meal starts at 81,000 won, including tax.

Meanwhile, Grand Ambassador Seoul Hotel is offering five oyster special meals for lunch and dinner at Cafe de Chef.

The business lunch features a choice of spaghetti with oyster cream sauce or spaghetti with fried fresh oysters for 44,000 won, while the lunch special includes oyster and potato puree soup and winter green salad with poached oysters and spicy citrus dressing, for 55,000 won. The executive lunch features baked fresh oysters in a half shell, poached smoked salmon fillet, oyster rolls and double-cooked Australian beef steak on an oyster-stuffed bed and fond de beouf, all for 66,000 won.

For dinner, guests have two options. The first is a six-course meal featuring baked oysters, oyster bisque, an entree of baked sea bass fillet with an herb crust, glazed Parisian vegetables, potatoes and poached oysters with wine sauce, all for 77,000 won.

The second is a course meal featuring poached oysters with sweet pear, wasabi and balsamic sauce; Korean soup with fresh oysters and seaweed with cream, and an entree of poached oysters and turbot fillet with champagne sauce or grilled Australian beef tenderloin with fried breaded fresh oysters and green pepper-corn sauce, all for 88,000 won, including tax.
