Shilla Stay Gwanghwamun will celebrate its grand opening on Dec. 22.

With 339 rooms in a 19-story building overlooking Gwanghwamun, Jogye Temple and the street of Samcheong-dong in Seoul, this is Shilla Stay’s seventh property to open.

Renaissance Seoul Hotel’s two winter packages offer guests a chance to help children in need during the holiday season.

The hotel will donate 10 percent of its room package profits to the Purme Foundation, a local NGO helping children. In return, all the package guests will receive a Ssamin Block toy as a gift.

The first package includes a one-night stay in a deluxe room, complimentary breakfast for two, a room service order for two glasses of Gluehwein, free WiFi, a Ssamin Block toy, and access to the indoor swimming pool and sauna. The cost

is 220,000 won without tax or service charges.

For the second package costing 230,000 won, a room service order of 10 pieces of buffalo wings is added.

Hyatt Regency Jeju presents Festive Season Kids Village from Dec. 18 to Jan. 2, 2016. A cooking class will be held for children, and one of the hotel chefs will demonstrate how to make Yule log cake. Sheraton Grand Incheon’s Japanese restaurant Miyabi presents its winter special menu featuring swellfish until the end of January. Served at both lunch and dinner, the meal will include soup, porridge with pine seeds, walnut and ginkgo nut, sashimi, and grilled or steamed swellfish with refined rice wine. The dinner set costs 75,000 won per person. For those who are not a fan of sushi or sashimi, Miyabi prepares roasted fish with light seasoning as an alternative. The restaurant also offers new sushi bento for businesspeople in the neighborhood during lunch hours. The lunch box contains abalone, eel, sea bream and codfish. The lunch box costs 50,000 won.
