The Incheon International Airport Corp. (IIAC) will hold a festival featuring top K-pop stars and its employees’ performances on Oct. 15 and 16 to celebrate its top ranking in the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey for 10 years in a row.

The Sky Festival, the IIAC’s annual event, will take place in front of the airport’s headquarters with Sistar, Girl’s Day, Tin Top, GOT7, BTOB and Ailee.

On Oct. 15, the Airport Family Concert will be held at 6 p.m. in which the airport employees sing, play musical instruments and dance. Particularly, a choir consisting of employees will sing under the baton of conductor Lee Kyung-goo of the Incheon Philharmonic Orchestra. K-pop girl group Sistar will also perform.

On Oct. 16, KBS K-pop show “Music Bank” will be broadcast live at the airport’s headquarters. At the show, Girls’ Day, Ailee, Tin Top, BTOB and GOT7 will hit the stage.

Not only the shows but also various side events will be offered for visitors of different age groups and nationalities. The airport will hold diverse cultural programs such as flea markets, exhibitions and special zones where visitors can experience Korean beauty products.

“The IIAC will continue to strive for not only the best quality of services but also becoming a hub for culture, art and tourism attracting both Koreans and foreigners through this festival,” Park Wan-su, CEO of the IIAC, said.

“Particularly, we will hold the concert for our employees’ families for the first time. The concert will be a heartwarming event for our employees to unite and reaffirm the enthusiasm of workers who have contributed to this honor for 10 years in a row,” he said.

The Sky Festival is the only outdoor event organized by the IIAC since 2004.

All the performances are free.

Incheon International Airport topped the global ranking of the ASQ survey by the Airports Council International (ACI) in 2014 for the 10th year in a row. Incheon was also named as the best performer in the Asia-Pacific region and picked as the best among large-sized airports with more than 40 million passengers annually.

The survey is an annual assessment made by the ACI, which grants the award, based on satisfaction ratings of the passengers in the survey. This award is regarded as one of the most prestigious accolades in the industry.
