The ZEST buffet restaurant at the Conrad Seoul is featuring Macanese food for 10 days from Nov. 7 to 16, with a visiting chef from Macao. During the promotion, Conrad will be conducting online giveaway events with the Macau Government Tourist Office. Prizes include a flight to Macao, and Conrad Macao lodging and buffet vouchers. The menu will include Portuguese suckling pig with oranges, prawns with chili, Portuguese style crab curry, and Macao’s representative desserts, including Serradura, a layer of biscuits and soft cream and the famous, Portuguese style egg tart. Cooking classes are also scheduled for Nov. 10 and 15 where participants will learn how to make egg tarts.The price for a weekday lunch is 65,000 won and weekday dinner 75,000 won. The weekend lunch is 80,000 won, while Friday and weekend Dinner are 85,000 won (per adult, including tax). The egg tart cooking class will take place at the Atrio Italian restaurant. Seasons, the Millennium Seoul Hilton’s acclaimed French restaurant, is offering a special winemaker’s dinner on Friday, Nov. 14. Chateau Puech Haut wines from the Languedoc Estate in the southernmost part of France’s Mediterranean coast will be featured for the evening. They include the 2008 Roger Goulart Brut Rose (Magnum), 2012 Prestige Blanc, 2011 Prestige Rouge, 2002 Tete de Belier Rouge, 2006 Clos du Pic and 2007 La Quarantieme. Clos du Pic ranked the top in the Lafont Presse “Classement des Meilleurs Vins de France,” receiving the high score of 97 points. It was given the nickname of “Chateau Margaux in Languedoc.” Additionally, Chateau Puech Haut has received a high score of over 90 points from the world’s authority on fine wines and wine critic Robert Parker. The Winemaker’s Dinner will be preceded by a champagne reception at 7 p.m. and is priced at 220,000 won (including tax and service charge) per person. The Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel is now presenting winter dishes for guests to enjoy at Deli by Sheraton. Chestnut latte and purple sweet potato latte feature the sweet and rich taste of chestnut and sweet potatoes, mixed with creamy milk. The price is 5,500 won per beverage. Cinnamon pumpkin soup is another seasonal hit, and the macaroni and cheese is an all time favorite, including fresh mushrooms. Lastly, cottage pie is a tasty mixture of mashed potatoes and beef. The price is 5,000 won for the soup. Take-out is also available. The mushroom macaroni and cheese, and cottage pie are 6,600 won each. These dishes will be available until Dec. 31.
