The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas is back, after 10 months of remodeling, to fete its 25th anniversary. The hotel has an all-new lobby, banquet halls and exterior.
The remodeling was designed by Rockwell Group and Ilya Corporation.
The remodeling adopted the theme of “Western magnificence and Eastern fluidity” evident in the new lobby. The buffet restaurant Grand Kitchen has been moved to the lobby floor, and the hotel, will provide a special 25 percent discount. The Grand Hyatt Seoul will present Tianjin Delights, with guest chefs from Hyatt Regency Jing Jin City. Guest Chefs Bernard Ding and Stan Shi will be featuring Beijing and Guangdong cuisine. This veteran team has a collective experience of more than 40 years, acquired throughout China. Guests can expect specialty dishes including fried fish with a spicy sauce perfectly suited to the Korean palate, pork boiled in soy sauce, spicy stir-fried chicken with peanuts and chili, Sichuan-style noodles.

The Ritz-Carlton, Seoul has opened an upscale spa “Pevonia,” which offers a variety of treatments for different body and skin conditions.
Available services include so-called “four hands massage,” in which two therapists work in unison to deliver a highly effective, continuous and intensive massage experience, resulting in the ultimate sense of comfort. Pevonia was founded in 1991 by Philippe Hennessy, a member of the family that owns Louis Vuitton group, and his wife Sylvie, a dermatologist and chemist. It now has its headquarters in Florida.

Strawberries are everywhere. So, the Grand Ambassador Seoul’s Lobby Lounge and Deli has on offer the buffet line-up of palatable strawberry desserts. The “Strawberry-Holic” buffet that will take place every weekend from 2 p.m. through 5 p.m. There will be 20 different strawberry-themed desserts, including strawberry creme brulee, strawberry meringue and strawberry mille-feuille. The strawberry buffet is priced at 38,000 won for adults and 19,000 won for children. (Tax included). A different weekday strawberry dessert menu has been prepared including strawberry pizzas.

In March, the Millennium Hilton Seoul’s buffet restaurant Orangerie, will host a special event highlighting the cuisine of Ecuador. The March promotional event will also be the last for Orangerie, which will close its doors in mid-May.
For the Orangerie’s finale promotional event, the hotel has invited Chef Maria Ruth Moreno from Ecuador. She will lead the Orangerie kitchen to create Ecuadorian favorites including popular white shrimp.
The Orangerie lunch buffet is priced at 67,000 won for adults and 39,900 won for children aged 12 and under. For dinner, the buffet is priced at 72,000 won and 42,900 won. For more information, call (02) 317-3143.
