
The Plaza Hotel’s all-day dining buffet The Seven Square is holding a “Seven Continents Promotion” for the month of July.
The concept of the Seven Continents Promotion is based on bringing the world’s cuisine, culture, history and future together. The promotion showcases representative dishes from the world’s seven continents, presenting more than 35 dishes from 28 countries.
Menus will include Kangaroo Tail Stew from Australia, Escargot from France, Fish Ceviche from Peru, Vietnamese wrap Goi Cuon, Indonesian stir-fried rice Nasi Goreng, Philippine Adobo, Hummus and Falafel from Middle East, and Bobotie from South Africa.

The W Seoul-Walkerhill’s contemporary Japanese restaurant NAMU offers summer stamina dishes for healthier endurance in the sweltering heat.
Chef Miyake Kazuya who has been newly recruited to the hotel this year presents seasonal food recreated in W style using two very popular “stamina recovering” ingredients: eel and croaker. Diverse eel and croaker dishes, including eel sushi, fried eel, croaker shabu shabu, and sashimi, can be enjoyed by people of all ages from children to adults, which will stimulate appetite lost to the exhausting heat.
Summer stamina meals are offered a la carte with affordable prices. Eel dishes vary from 49,000 won through 78,000 won and croaker dishes from 47,000 won through 76,000 won.
These seasonal stamina dishes are available for lunch and dinner at Namu from July 1 to Aug. 31.

The Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Italian Trattoria Il Ponte will host a month-long promotion celebrating the cuisine of Marche, a region in Central Italy, bordered by Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany and Umbria in July.
Chef Anita Bidini will introduce signature native dishes including deep fried marinated and breaded shrimp with anchovies and butter sauce; cream of chickpeas with prosciutto soup; pan-fried cod with onion, anchovies, chilli, white wine, green peas and tomato concasse served with deep fried cauliflower. The Grand Hyatt Seoul’s JJ Mahoney’s invite Seoulites and visitors to drive away the heat with house music. On the nights of July 19 and 20, DJs from some of the best known clubs in Itaewon, Hongdae and Cheongdam-dong will show off their talent.

The Mayfield Hotel’s buffet restaurant Michelin and Korean restaurant Bongraeheon will offer special energy menus to fight the sultry summer heat. From July 9 through Aug. 31, the Michelin presents such heat-fighting menus as the “haecheontang,” a hot soup comprising of chicken, abalone and other seafood, fried eel marinated in spicy chili and garlic sauce.
The Bongraeheon will feature specialty set menus for the summer and during lunchtime. The summer menu titled “Noksuseonwha” offers low-calorie meals including cold chicken soup, fresh ginseng pancake dabbed in chili paste and Korea rib.
