Hotels help you celebrate White Day

Enjoy “White Day” specials on March 14 at Renaissance Seoul in Yeoksam-dong, southern Seoul.

“White Day” follows precisely one month after Valentine’s Day and leading hotels in the city are offering special package deals for March 14.

Conrad Seoul in Yeouido offers the Romance Escapade. For 440,000 won (tax excluded), a romantic couple can stay in a Deluxe Room overnight, savor a heart-shaped chocolate cake and rose-petal bath salts from Armani Fiori. In the daytime, enjoy either breakfast or lunch at the hotel’s buffet restaurant on the second floor. Checkout time is extended to 1 p.m. on request. The Mayfield Hotel in Seoul offers a White Helena package for lovers and families to celebrate White Day. Helena is a Greek name meaning “a day that shines like the sun.” The package will include an overnight stay at the Superior Room with a Yankee Candle as a gift. Customers that purchase the package will also get a chance to dine chance at the Italian restaurant La Festa where there are five types of wine from Chile’s representative winery “Santa Helena” available, as well as an eight-course dinner. Winemaker Cristobal Droppelmann will be present to tell the stories of the wines. The package is priced at 325,000 won (Tax and service charge excluded) per person. Customers can delight in a bouquet of flowers and macaroons for an additional 59,000 won. For anyone who would like to enjoy the White Day dinner, it costs 100,000 and reservations must be made. Lotte Hotel Seoul offers from March 13-17 the “Sweet White Day Package” (490,000 won) and the “One Fine day Package” at 890,000 won. The two packages include a one-night stay at respective suites and Club Lounge Services. The dinner for the Sweet White Day Package will be dinner for two at La Seine while for the One Fine Day Package, a dinner for two will be at Pierre Gagnaire a Seoul. Other services may vary as well. At Renaissance Seoul’s Trevi Lounge, White Day will be more special with live band music, along with Italian buffet and unlimited beer and wine.
