The festive mood surrounding the Lunar New Year’s Day (Feb. 10) will likely continue as Valentine’s Day is coming up, and hotels are offering an array of special packages.

The Grand Hyatt Hotel

on Mt. Nam, Seoul, is offering a special package aptly called “Romance Package” from Feb. 14 to 16. It offers a Grand River View Room for two, heart-shaped chocolates, two glasses of sparkling wine and access to J.J. Mahoney’s from 399,000 won. For more information, call (02) 799-8888.

The Lotte Hotel Seoul

presents “Dear My Valentinus,” from Feb. 7 to 17. The time span is intended so that couples can take this chance to assuage their loved ones (usually women in this case as the Lunar New Year’s holiday means cooking for families that gather together at this time of year) and celebrate Valentine’s Day at the same time. The package starts at 300,000 won and can rise with room upgrades, provision of a bottle of Marc Hebrart Selection Brut. The Banyan Tree Club & Spa Seoul

near Mt. Nam is offering the “Sweet Valentine Package” from Feb. 12 to 17, starting at 1 million won. It includes breakfast for two at the Granum Dining Lounge, complimentary entrance to the Oasis ice rink, dinner at Festa Bistro & Bar, and a 90 minute spa session. With an upgrade to a premium suite, it is priced at 1.2 million won excluding VAT.
