Pub bar Gran-A at the Novotel Ambassador Gangnam presents special 2011 Christmas parties on Dec. 23 and 24.

From 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., set menus will be offered, including a Christmas buffet and two glasses of liquor at 60,000 won. Johnnie Walker and snack set menus are also available. A bottle of Johnnie Walker 12-year-old Black Label with snacks is available for 290,000 won; Johnnie Walker 18-year-old Platinum, for 400,000 won; and Johnnie Walker Blue Label, for 490,000 won.

Ritz-Carlton Seoul

The Ritz-Carlton Seoul is holding an Origami Party for child guests on Dec. 18. Origami is the art of paper folding.

Origami artist Kim Sae-ik will lead participants in the creation of unique Christmas decorations made of paper. An award ceremony will follow the event, with prizes such as gift certificates for the Oksan Buffet and handmade cookies. Snacks are also available, including pizza, chili shrimp, dim sum, cheese sandwiches, chestnut muffins and walnut chocolate cookies, along with drinks. Parents can enjoy tea or coffee.

The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas’ Lobby Lounge will offer a Cakes of the World buffet from Dec. 23 to 25, a special addition to its usual afternoon tea buffet.

Christmas cakes from different countries will be available along with the usual buffet items including sandwiches, scones with jam and whipped cream, cherry pie, Korean rice cake, sugar-free cookies, donuts, croissants, chocolates and fruit. Also offered are over 10 kinds of tea, coffee, fruit juice and traditional Korean drinks such as “sikhye” and jujube tea.

Also on Dec. 24, a rib buffet will be served from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. after the cake buffet. The cake buffet is priced at 35,000 won and the rib buffet at 70,000 won. For more information, call 02-559-7603.

The products are made with elegant natural materials and with Xystum’s unique sensibilities, including trees in various sizes, from mini items to decorate tables to oversized wooden ones, and Christmas wreathes.

Bar Rouge at the JW Marriott Seoul will hold an Alice in Wonderland party on Dec. 24 from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Guests will get one welcome drink, a snack box and a chance to win best dancer, best bidder or best dresser prizes throughout the night. Christmas gifts such as accommodation vouchers, meal coupons and special wines will be offered through a lucky draw.
