Halloween is not an unfamiliar, foreign event anymore, and many people in Korea celebrate the day with parties in spooky costumes. Hotels here also offer parties and events, decorating venues in ghostly atmosphere.
Grand Hyatt Seoul’s J.J. Mahoney’s which introduced the Halloween party in Korea years ago, presents the “Himalayan Cat Zoo at JJ’s” party this year, offering a night of fun.
The main theme of the party is Himalayan cats, with the bar turning into a spooky cat zoo, full of bites, frights and delights. Live performance by JJ’s band Sonic and guest DJs Jal and BD, as well as a Halloween costume contest will be presented. Guests will get a welcome drink and illy coffee.

At W Seoul-Walkerhill, the Funky Halloween Party with DJ Gigi Barocco will be held on Saturday from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
WooBar, which has become a must-go place for Halloween with different themes and programs every year, has funky neon colors, flashy laser lightings and spooky decoration for this year.
DJ Gigi Barocco, a world-class DJ based in Milan, will bring party guests to the world of entrancing, sensational pop-style electronic music which combines electronic music with vocal and comical performances.
Bartenders of the bar will be dressed in stylish and sensual costumes. The ticket is priced at 60,000 won including one drink when purchased on-site and 50,000 won when a reservation is made via InterPark. For more information, call 2022-0333.
Additionally, guests staying at the hotel during the Halloween period can have their rooms decorated in Halloween style, with vivid orange and black colors, balloons and a pumpkin basket filled with party items and candies. Room rates are 375,000 won. For reservation, call 2022-0000.
Hyatt Regency Incheon holds Vy Bar Halloween Party at the hotel’s Vy Bar on Saturday and Sunday.
Scary music, chilling costumes, hair-raising decorations, creepy movies and blood-curdling cocktails will be on offer. Also included in the party are prizes such as wine, whiskey and dinner buffet vouchers for Restaurant 8, along with a lucky draw.

At JW Marriott Seoul, Bar Route will be the party venue today. Guest DJ’s live music, a dance battle, best dresser competition, auction, quiz game and belly dance performance will be presented with a special show host.
The bar will have thrilling interior displayed with pumpkins, spiders, vampires and ghosts. Professional makeup artists will be on the standby for those who want some eerie transformation for the night.
All guests will be given a welcome cocktail and a snack box, as well as various gifts including accommodation vouchers, meal coupons and wine.
