Oakwood Premier Coex Center Seoul

The Residents’ Lounge at the Oakwood Premier Coex Center Seoul launches an ice cream promotion to cool down from the sizzling temperatures through Aug. 31.

Various types of ice cream will be available including a banana split with four different flavors of ice cream, ice cream with seasonal fresh fruits combined with lime juice and ice cream pancakes dripping with maple syrup.

Fruit smoothies and the traditional summer snack, shaved ice with red bean, coffee or strawberries are also available. Prices range between 12,000 won and 17,000 won. JW Marriott Seoul

JW Marriott Seoul and Instyle Wedding will host a wedding show for the 2012 spring-summer season for 300 couples on Aug. 18 at the hotel’s newly renovated Grand Ballroom.

The ballroom’s foyer will open from noon to 8 p.m. for a cocktail reception in advance of three exclusive viewing sessions at 2 p.m., 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The two-hour shows will feature a catwalk and wedding goods from high-end providers. Guests can enjoy the show, buy wedding accessories and view actual wedding table setting and decor.

Grand Hyatt Seoul

Enjoy a relaxing afternoon at the Lobby Lounge of the Grand Hyatt Seoul and enjoy a special promotion of drinks to quench your thirst this summer.

Freshly squeezed fruit juice is available along with cocktails such as mojitos and margaritas. Non-alcoholic cocktails will include the Princess Margaret and San Francisco Punch. Yeohyang, the Chinese restaurant at the Grand Hilton Seoul offers two summer set menus combining great flavors and healthy ingredients, during the month of August.

Set Menu One includes bird’s nest soup with Chinese bamboo piths, braised sea cucumber with diced pork belly, Pei Pa bean curd and lamb chop with black vinegar sauce. Set Menu Two features braised whole shark fin with king crab and bird’s nest, fried snow fish with black bean sauce, and fried king prawns with chili sauce. Guests can choose rice or Chinese cold noodles to accompany the meal.

Renaissance Seoul Hotel

The classic sky lounge bar Club Horizon at the Renaissance Seoul Hotel is an enticing place to spend a summer evening and take advantage of the seasonal promotions.
