Imperial Palace Hotel

The Imperial Palace Hotel’s Cafe Amiga offers “king galbi yakgyetang,” which combines “galbi,” or grilled beef ribs, and “samgyetang,” or ginseng chicken soup.

It is a healthy dish with a hearty broth made from 15 kinds of Korean medicinal herbs, such as fresh ginseng, deer antler, Angelica gigas roots and Oriental raisin trees, plus juicy galbi.

Ritz-Carlton Seoul

Three chefs from the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo will present the latest trends in Japanese cuisine at the Ritz-Carlton Seoul’s Oksan Buffet from Aug. 4 to 10.

Executive sous chef Takahashi Hiroshi has worked at famous restaurants and hotels in Japan perfecting diverse dishes for banquets and weddings. He joined the Ritz-Carlton Tokyo in 2007. The experienced chef will showcase his trendy and stylish dishes in addition to Oksan’s 140-item menu.

Grand Hyatt Seoul

The Grand Hyatt Seoul’s Japanese restaurant Akasaka offers a selection of lunchbox delicacies.

With premium quality, authentic taste and fresh ingredients, the lunchboxes are filled with seasonal delicacies, including steamed egg custard, sesame tofu, vegetable, tuna, yellowtail and halibut sashimi, assorted tempura, broiled fish and braised beef with Japanese potato. Akasaka’s new chef Keiichi Watanabe with 18 years of experience will be in charge of the special lunch sets.

The InterContinental Alpensia Pyeongchang Resort and Holiday Inn Resort Alpensia Pyeongchang are offering various barbeque promotions through Aug. 27.
