JW Marriott Seoul holds an event through Aug. 31 to celebrate PyeongChang’s winning of the right to host the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.

Sixty-five prizes are prepared for guests who show their support for the Olympic Games by posting good wishes and suggestions about the event on the hotel’s Facebook page, wwwlfacebook.com/JWMarriottSeoul. They include vouchers for The Cafe@JW, for Bar Rouge wine buffet and draft beer and for Deli shop cake, and notepads with the hotel’s logo on it.

Grand Hilton Seoul

Early birds making reservation for the 2011 Oktoberfest will be able to enjoy the party at a very reasonable price.

The special rate, which is available by Aug. 12, is 100,000 won, including an entrance ticket originally valued at 120,000 won and one Oktoberfest gingerbread heart valued at 10,000 won. The ticket must be pre-paid before Aug. 12 and will be non-refundable.

This year’s event includes the Original Paulaner Oktoberfest Band from Munich, an authentic German food buffet, two types of unlimited Paulaner draft beef, as well as F1 tickets and other prizes in a lucky draw. For more information, call 02-2287-7456.

Paradise Hotel Busan

Paradise Hotel Busan presents an outdoor buffet at the Annex Garden through Aug. 15, featuring a selection of grilled cuisine including a Texan barbeque, desserts as well as wine and Korean and imported draft beer.

Between July 21 and 27, two chefs from Texas will offer a classic American-style Texan barbeque. A diversity of appetizers and snacks is also available, with a live guitar show.

Renaissance Seoul Hotel’s lobby lounge, Trevi Lounge, presents a selection of summer beverages through Aug. 31.

Smoothies using seasonal fruits are offered, including mango, wild berry and pineapple, as well as raspberry smash cocktails and a non-alcoholic mango cocktail. Smoothies are priced at 19,000 won and cocktails at 17,500 won.

Novotel Ambassador Gangnam

Novotel Ambassador Gangnam’s entertainment bar GranA offers Happy Hour promotion at the outdoor terrace with Mediterranean-style barbeque dishes through Sept. 9.

The Happy Hour operates from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. offering unlimited Hite beer for 35,000 won and unlimited Heineken for 40,000 won with barbeque dishes served by chefs. The dishes include chicken teriyaki, German sausage, baked zucchini and egg plant, and French fries.
