Millennium Seoul Hilton

The Millennium Seoul Hilton has completed a $10 million renovation project that has enhanced guest rooms on Executive Floors with modern decor and upgraded amenities.

The new rooms feature “Hilton Suite dreams” beds, expanded workspaces with well-lit desks, 42-inch LED TVs, Hilton Worldwide standard power jacks, newly embellished bathrooms, brand new honor bars and coffee-making facilities.

Guests staying in the renovated rooms will have other privileges including a free breakfast buffet, happy hour drinks and canapes, and Internet use in the Executive Floor Lounge, 50-percent discount on mobile phone rental and the sauna, free use of the meeting room for two hours and late checkout. Oakwood Premier Coex

The Oakwood Premier Coex Center presents its Early Summer Package through the end of June for those wishing to have a short getaway before their summer vacation.

The package includes a one-night stay, complimentary breakfast for one person at the Residents’ Lounge, free use of the fitness center, indoor swimming pool, sauna and indoor driving range, free rental of two DVDs at the business center, and late checkout. For extra guests, breakfast is available a discounted rate of 14,000 won from the usual 22,000 won, while 10-percent discounts are available at restaurants.

Marco Polo, the Asian and Mediterranean restaurant on the 52nd floor of World Trade Center Korea, offers invigorating set menus made with energizing ingredients throughout June.

The set lunch menu includes bamboo soup made with gingko nuts and various kinds of mushrooms, abalone in red ginseng sauce, sauteed Australian beef tenderloin with black garlic sauce, and rice mixed with various nuts and squash. It is priced at 65,000 won.

For dinner, several dishes are added to the lunch menu, such as sea cucumber stuffed with minced prawns and vegetable worms and grilled eel in BBQ sauce topped with ginger. The price is 120,000 won. For more information call 02-559-7620.

Seoul Palace Hotel

The Seoul Palace Hotel’s lounge Twotone and buffet restaurant and cafe The Goong offer Cool Summer Festivals with ice flakes and drinks.

Ice flake menus include red been sherbet, berry red bean sherbet with various berries and fresh fruit sherbet full of tropical fruit toppings. They are offered at 15,000 won. Fresh blueberry, rubus coreanus, pomegranate, jujube and persimmon juice is also available.

JW Marriott Seoul

The JW Marriott Seoul’s Bar Rouge is holding a casino-themed party at 7 p.m. on June 24 for those seeking the excitement of Las Vegas and Macau.
