Grand Ambassador Seoul

The Grand Ambassador Seoul’s international dining restaurant Cafe de Chef celebrates Mediterranean cuisine in a special promotion through June 20.

The menu prepared by Australian chef Wayne Golding focuses on a healthy diet with fresh ingredients, natural spices and low-oil grill recipes. Over 20 dishes are available from appetizers to main courses of grilled lamb, beef, chicken and salmon, along with desserts.

A la carte items are priced between 10,000 won and 45,000 won, while lunch and dinner sets at 70,000 won. Two set menus comprising a salad buffet and a la carte choices are 48,000 won and 65,000 won. For more information call 02-2270-3131.

JW Marriott Seoul

The JW Marriott Seoul’s Italian restaurant Olivo presents special menus from Lazio, Italy, throughout June 30.

Lazio is a central Italian region famous for ingredients from the nearby bountiful coastline, pastures and mountains. The regional menus include lentil soup combined with beef stock and thyme, sauteed baby cuttlefish with anchovy and artichokes, spicy bucatini pasta, saltimbocca of veal tenderloin with marsala sauce, and Roman ricotta cheese cake with raspberry sauce.

Mayfield Hotel & Resort

After completing renovations, The Mayfield Hotel and Resort has reopened its ballroom with a modern interior and state-of-the-art facilities. The banquet building has six banquet rooms including the renovated Mayfield Ballroom and three newly established medium-sized ones.

To celebrate the renewal, the hotel offers a promotion for couples tying the knot at the hotel. It includes a 50,000 won per guest menu, 20-percent discount on wine, free soft drinks and one night stay in the Honeymoon Suite.

Novotel Ambassador Gangnam

The Novotel Ambassador Gangnam introduces high quality, take-out party sets, La Petite Partie featuring luxury delicacies made by the hotel chefs.

Three sets are available: Set A is suitable for a family picnic, birthday party or housewarming with six dishes. Set B would fit a lunch meeting, late snack or small team dinner, while Set C can be served at a children’s picnic or smaller birthday party. Seasonal fruit desserts and birthday cake are available to order separately.

InterContinental Seoul COEX

The InterContinental Seoul COEX’s multi-dining concept restaurant Asian Live offers shark’s fin dishes through the end of May.

The set menu includes assorted sashimi, braised scallops with X.O. sauce, and shark’s fin soup that is simmered with shark’s bones and comes with either spicy or vinegar sauce. Homemade fried noodles or rice and fresh fruit follow. The meal is priced at 130,000 won.

The shark’s fin soup is also available a la carte at 90,000 won for the small and 120,000 won for the large portion. Other dishes can also be enjoyed such as grilled hanwoo spare ribs with steamed shark’s fin. For more information call 02-3430-8620.
