Grand Hilton Seoul

Munchner Zwietracht, a renowned German band, will perform at the Grand Hilton Seoul for the hotel's Oktoberfest celebration on Sept. 4 and 5.

The band will headline the festival, which features unlimited draft beer, fun games, a selection of German foods and great prizes.

Novotel Ambassador Gangnam

The Novotel Ambassador Gangnam celebrated the opening of subway line No. 9, the Shin-Nonhyun station of which is located within a five-minute walk from the hotel.

On July 30, the hotel prepared a 9-meter-long sandwich resembling a subway train, along with coffee for 90 people and offered it free of charge to guests, pedestrians and drivers in front of the hotel.

The Novotel also features a special celebration package through Aug. 31. The ``Lucky Gold No. 9'' package, at 99,999 won, is available for the first nine guests who book through the Web site and includes various gifts, such as free trip ticket to Paris. Lotte Hotel Seoul

La Notte Bianca, an annual all-night arts, music, food and wine festival celebrated in Italy and across Europe, will be presented at the Lotte Hotel Seoul's Peninsula, the Windsor Bar, and The Lounge on Aug. 14.

Guests can enjoy the La Notte Bianca Wine Plaza Festival for 30,000 won. A cruise-style wine party will allow guests to move from one venue to another, while a wine market will offer a large selection of wine at low prices. Guests can purchase wine from the market and enjoy it at any of the three locations.

The Grand Intercontinental Seoul and the COEX InterContinental Seoul will each present a buffet event called ``I Chef,'' featuring a stage where the hotels' 15 master chefs will showcase their signature dishes at lunch time.

The event will be offered at the Grand InterContinental's buffet restaurant, Grand Kitchen, between Aug. 24 and 28, and at COEX InterContinenetal's The Brassiere between Aug. 31 and Sept. 4.

Walkerhill Poker Room

Walkerhill Casino's poker room, located on a hillside of Mt. Acha adjacent to the Sheraton Grande Walkerhill, is one of Asia's first poker rooms.

The room opened in August 2008 and was used as a filming location for SBS drama ``Tazza,'' which featured the life of gamblers.

There are various kinds of poker available at the Walkerhill Casino. No-limit Texas Hold'em games have a variety of table stakes for different players and Fixed-Limit and Pot-Limit games are also available upon request.

The casino also has private rooms for corporate clients and can incorporate a poker tournament with accommodation and food packages for players.

In August, the poker room is giving away 100,000 won for the first five players who join in any cash game on weekdays from 5 p.m. ``10K Guaranteed'' event will be held on Aug. 29 with a starting ante of 5,000 won.
