The 5th World Ceramic Biennale will be held from April 25 through May 24 at three Gyeonggi provincial cities famous for chinaware making ― Yeoju, Icheon and Gwangju.
The biennale, designed to upgrade and popularize Korean ceramic culture, has become the world's largest ceramic event.
Under the theme of ``Adventure of the Fire,'' this year's festival programs will range from exhibitions, academic seminars and networking for potters to performances and educational programs for children.
The ``Ceramic Space & Life'' exhibition will present a combination of architecture and ceramics. In Yeoju, an exhibition will be held to show the remains of the region's first kiln from the Goryeo Kingdom (918-1392).
Visitors can make their own pottery and buy ceramic ware. For more information, visit www.wocef.com.
