Lotte Hotel World will hold a cake-making event at the lobby on Dec. 25.

The hotel's chefs will participate in the event to help guests bake special Christmas cakes.

Other activities will be offered such as a clown's balloon-making, face-painting and caricature drawing.

Families who bake the best Christmas cakes will receive prizes such as one-night stay at the hotel, buffet restaurant coupon and voucher for premium brewery pub Mega CC.

Participation fee is 220,000 won for a family of four ― two adults and two children.

The Grand InterContinental Hotel's lobby lounge will feature a ``Christmas Dessert Buffet'' after lunch time from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. until Dec. 24.

Dessert buffet items are from around the world including France, Austria, Italy and the United States at the price of 22,000 won with coffee or tea.

As part of the celebrations for the holidays, the ``Seoul Singers'' will perform Christmas carols in the lobby of the hotel until Dec. 22.

Grand Hyatt Seoul's J.J. Mahoney's holds a series of parties for the holiday season on Dec. 24, 28, 29 and 31.

Live performances of JJ's house band, SUPERKATZ, a best couple contest and lucky draws will be offered during the parties. On New Year's Eve, there will be a special countdown to midnight.

The entrance fees range from 40,000 won to 60,000 won. All guests will receive a welcome drink, Lilly coffee and a ``Year of the Mouse'' souvenir doll.
