Eating turkey and cranberry sauce on one of the biggest holidays in North America, Thanksgiving Day, is not a familiar tradition to people here.
Timed with the conclusion of the harvest season, however, it may be an interesting and fun experience to sample the taste of the holiday, which falls on Nov. 22 in the USA.
It can offer a chance to understand how people from another culture appreciate nature and also to have a `home away from home' feeling if you are from North America.
For holidaymakers, local hotels will feature a special selection of Thanksgiving delicacies at their premier outlets.
Grand Hyatt Seoul
The Paris Grill will be offering a special five course set menu exclusively for the holiday.
Guests can choose from grilled beef fillet, pan-fried halibut, or the ever-popular slow roast turkey breast with traditional stuffing.
The Deli is also offering a selection of Thanksgiving delicacies for guests to take-out and enjoy in the comfort of their homes. Guests can find a variety of oven-baked items such as turkey, ham, and beef, along with soups, vegetables, sauces, and pastries.
All holiday items are available at both the Deli and the Galleria Deli through Nov. 22.

Grand InterContinental Seoul
The Grand Kitchen Deli has a whole turkey dish with all the trimmings (including vegetables and sauce) available for take-out to guests who place orders at least one day in advance.
This oven-cooked turkey is available until the end of December at prices of 160,000 won and 180,000 won.

The hotel's Italian restaurant Vecchia e Nuovo features tender and juicy roast turkeys from 170,000 won to 226,000 won including chestnut stuffing, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, mashed potato and Brussels sprouts.
Additional side dishes include maple glazed sweet potato, roast potatoes with fresh herbs, glazed carrots, braised cabbage with bacon, broccoli with almond butter and Idaho baked potatoes with garnish.

The buffet restaurant Atrium Cafe will feature traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings, from bread, chestnut and herb stuffing, to giblet gravy and cranberry sauce.
They will also offer mashed potatoes, Brussels sprouts and ginger-glazed carrots.
For those with a sweet tooth, the Thanksgiving Day dessert counter will also feature genuine pumpkin pie, pecan nut pie, holiday bread pudding and many other traditional treats.
The special is priced at 39,000 won for lunch and 52,000 won for dinner.

Cornerstone presents a special Thanksgiving menu on Nov. 23.
On the menu will be such traditional Thanksgiving dishes such as maple glazed turkey supreme with cornbread, as well as Autumn delicacies including chestnut mont blanc with persimmon, and glazed sweet potatoes.
