Il Ponte, the Millennium Seoul Hilton’s Italian restaurant, offers the finest Italian cuisine from tempting pasta and wood-fired brick oven pizza baked to perfection to regional specialties.

The best fare of Italy is presented in a comfortable and cheerful setting reminiscent of a ``Little Italy.’’

The restaurant carries an extensive selection of exquisite Italian and international wines and arguably the best espresso in Seoul.

Chef Anita Bidini, who brings over two decades of experience to the restaurant, helms the kitchen. As the only female chef in Seoul’s hotels, she promises to present her delicate creations to the table of every diner.

What has made the restaurant one of the favourite Italian restaurants in Seoul is its dedication to using the finest and freshest ingredients, cooking with fiery Italian passion and providing the highest quality service.

Four times a year, Il Ponte hosts a special gourmet experience called ``Cena dei Reali,’’ which means ``dinner for royalty,’’ which is an inspired six-course meal, perfectly paired with a stellar selection of wines.

The restaurant promises Cena dei Reali to be an unforgettable dining extravaganza, and a tour de force for Il Ponte.

To complete the Italian dining experience, a musical trio performs well-known opera classics throughout the evening. Priced at 120,000 won per person; advance reservations are highly recommended.

Il Ponte also has a weekend tradition called the Weekend Tavola. This six-course lunch offers a simple, economical and delicious way to celebrate the weekend. For parties of three or more, the Weekend Tavola evokes a typical Italian dining experience by filling tables with two different salads, antipasti, pasta, a meat or fish dish, and dessert.

This is the perfect way to experience choice selections from Il Ponte’s menu. Priced at 35,000 won per person, the Weekend Tavola is available at lunchtime only.

Il Ponte offers a cooking class for children every Saturday and Sunday at lunchtime (11:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m.), which helps children explore their culinary and creative talents by making their own pizza.
