Kim Jin-chul, president of Solvay Silica Korea, was named chairman of the Foreign Company Association (FORCA) that represents nearly 1,000 Korean units of multinational companies, the association said Wednesday.
His appointment was made through a meeting of FORCA’s board of directors which followed the resignation of Kim’s predecessor, Lee Hee-sung, former country manager of Intel Korea.
Kim will lead the FORCA until March of next year.
Members of its board of directors include Sunny Yi, managing director of Bain & Company Korea; Bradley Kent Buckwalte, CEO of ADP Caps; and Shin Woo-sung, CEO of BASF Korea.
Established in 1977, the FORCA carries out various support activities for foreign companies in Korea, including lobbying the government.
