Lee Chang-sup

The Korea Times promoted Executive Managing Director Lee Chang-sup to vice president and editor- in-chief, Monday.

Lee, 55, joined the nation's oldest English newspaper in 1984. He previously served as deputy politics editor and business editor.

He was appointed chief editorial writer in April 2010 after serving as managing editor for five years from 2005. He was then promoted to executive managing director in April 2012.

He graduated from the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in 1982 after studying Japanese.

He earned a master of business administration (MBA) from Yonsei University.
