Dr. Kim Kwang-jo
Dr. Kim Kwang-jo, a professor of computer science at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), will represent Korea on the Technical Committee of the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP).
According to KAIST, Kim was selected for his contributions to the advancement of security and cryptology research during the last 30 years.
“Through this IFIP role, I would like to present Korea’s outstanding information and security technology to the world and demonstrate that we are one of the world’s leading nations in security technology,” Kim said.
Kim has served as director of the International Association for Cryptologic Research, chair of the AsiaCrypt Steering Committee, president of the Korea Institute of Information Security and Technology and visiting professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The IFIP, established in 1960, is a leading global organization for information and communications technologies and sciences.
