Deloitte Anjin said Monday it promoted its chief operating officer Ham Jong-ho to the position of its new CEO.

The Seoul office of the London-based accounting giant Deloitte said Ham, 54, will begin his term in June, replacing Lee Jae-sool who resigned in February.

Ham began his career as an accountant since November 1982. He joined Deloitte Anjin in 1986, building expertise in the audit, business consulting and merger and acquisition sectors, respectively.

He also worked as a non-government member of the consultative body of the Financial Services Commission’s accounting policy between 2010 and 2012.

Ham graduated from Korea University in 1982.
