Patent attorney Koh Young-hoe was inaugurated president of the Korea Patent Attorneys Association (KPAA) at the Managing the Science and Technology Center in Seoul, Tuesday.

The inauguration came after his appointment on Feb. 21 at the association’s general meeting. He will serve a two-year term.

“Knowledge will dominate our future, and so the role of patent lawyers will become more and more important,” Koh said at the ceremony. “I will work to right the wrong that is hindering the development of our knowledge and technology.”

Koh received his bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in architecture from Seoul National University and has since served as vice president of the KPAA and as president of the Professional Engineers Society of Korea.
