Korean K-pop group Girls' Generation appeared on “The Late Show with David Letterman” on CBS, Tuesday, and "LIVE! With Kelly," a morning show on ABC on Wednesday. On both shows they sang "The Boys," the title song of their third album released in December 2011.

Their appearance on the Letterman show was brief. They came on stage at the end of Letterman’s talk with famed actors Bill Murray and media personality Regis Philbin. Murray was invited to celebrate the 30th anniversary of one of America’s longest running talk shows _ he was Letterman’s first guest when the show was launched in 1982. With the elderly host and the guests watching in the background, the girls, aged between 20 to 22, danced in black lace and leather outfits paired with the dark and straight hairstyles. At the end of the four-minute set, which suffered from compromised vocal quality, Letterman thanked the group in Korean. The singers did not get to speak on stage.

The group appeared much more comfortable on “LIVE! With Kelly.” The audience participated eagerly- singing along and cheering during the performance. The singers chatted for two minutes with the host Kelly Ripa and the guest host of the day, Howie Mandel, after the “The Boys” performance. Tiffany and Jessica led the conversation. Kelly asked about the audition process and Tiffany explained that all of them entered the industry at a young age ranging from 10 to 15.
