Brown Eyed Girls to debut in Japan

Korea pop group Brown Eyed Girls have finally made their way to Japan, in hallyu's latest feat of spreading the pop culture here abroad.

The four-member group will debut with their album ``Sound G,'' on Aug. 25, released through Sony Music Japan. To commemorate the release, the group will give a small preview of the album with a showcase for fans at the Harjuku Astro Hall in Tokyo, Aug. 6.

``Anticipate our song `Abracadabra,' which we sing in Japanese on this album,'' the group announced through their official Japanese website (www.browneyedgirls.jp), which launched on Friday. ``We're busy preparing for the Tokyo concert so that we can show you our best.''

The Brown Eyed Girls debuted in 2006 with their album ``Daga-waseo,'' which spawned the hit ``Hold the Line.'' ``Abracadabra'' was their biggest hit from their original ``Sound G'' album ― their third full-length album released in Korea in 2009 ― including their latest singles, ``Sign'' and ``L.O.V.E.''

'브아걸' 8월 첫 음반으로 일본 데뷔

걸그룹 브라운아이드걸스(나르샤, 가인, 제아, 미료)가 한류 바람을 타고 일본열도에 진출한다.

4인조 브아걸은 8월 25일 소니뮤직재팬 인터내셔널을 통해 일본 데뷔 음반 "사운드-G"를 선보이며 본격적인 활동에 들어간다.

일본 데뷔 음반 발매를 기념해 8월 6일 도쿄 하라주쿠의 아스트로홀에서 쇼케이스를 겸한 미니라이브 사운드-G를 열어 팬들에게 성숙된 매력을 직접 선보인다.

멤버들은 지난 9일 오픈한 일본 공식 홈페이지(www.browneyedgirls.jp)를 통해 일본 진출을 알리면서 "이번 음반에 일본어로 아브라카다브라를 부른다. 기대해 달라"며 "도쿄 쇼케이스에서 멋지고 좋은 모습을 보여주기 위해 열심히 준비하고 있다"고 전했다.

'브아걸'은 2006년 "홀더 라인"이 들어있는 "다가와서" 앨범으로 데뷰, 지난해 "히트곡 아브라카다브라(Abracadabra)로 '시건방 춤' 돌풍을 일으켰다.
