9-Year-Old Gives Birth
A 9-year-old girl has given birth to a boy in a Changchun hospital, capital city of northeast China's Jilin Province, Shanghai Daily reported on Jan. 28.
The girl had a caesarean birth. Both she and the 2.75kg baby are doing well.
According to doctors, it is rare for such a young girl to give birth to a live baby.
The girl's parents have reportedly called the police and the baby's father is unknown.
It is considered as a conviction of rape when anyone having sex with a girl under the age of 14 in Chinese laws.
Meanwhile, the youngest mother in the world is a five-year-old girl who gave birth to a 2.7kg baby by caesarean in May 1939 in Peru.
9살 아이 출산
28일 상하이 데일리에 따르면 9살의 여아가 중국 지린성의 한 창춘 병원에서 남자 아이를 낳았다고 한다.
제왕절개 수술을 받고 아이를 낳았으며 여아와 2.75kg의 아이 모두 건강하다고 한다.
의사에 따르면 어린 소녀가 살아있는 아이를 낳는 것은 드문 일 이라고 말했다.
여아의 부모는 경찰에 신고했으며 아직 아이의 아빠는 밝혀지지 않은 상태다.
만 14세 이하의 여자아이와 성관계를 갖는 것은 중국 형법상 강간죄에 해당된다.
한편 1939년 5월 페루에서2.7kg의 아이를 낳은 5살의 여아가 현재 세계에서 가장 어린 엄마로 알려져 있다.
