Kim Yu-na has dropped from the world No. 1 spot.
The 19-year-old South Korean earned 3,960 points to place second to Italian Carolina Kostner, sitting on 4,111, in the world rankings announced by the International Skating Union (ISU) Tuesday (KST).
Kim climbed atop the list last month after winning the Trophee Eric Bompard in Paris, the season-opening Grand Prix event.
Kim claimed her seventh straight Grand Prix title after topping Skate America in Lake Placid, N.Y. Sunday, but the rankings are based on points accumulated from contests such as the world championships, Winter Olympics, the Grand Prix series and final and invitational events over the last three seasons. Kim usually only competes in the Grand Prix and world championships.
Mao Asada of Japan was third on 3,779, followed by Joannie Rochette of Canada, who had 3,165.

화요일 국제스케이팅연맹 (ISU)이 발표한 세계랭킹에서 김연아는 3,960점으로 4,111점을 얻은 이탈리아의 캐롤리나 코스트너에게 1위를 내줬다.
김연아는 지난 달 파리에서 열린 그랭프리 개막전 트로피 에릭 봉파르에서 우승해 1위에 올랐었다.
김연아는 일요일 뉴욕 레이크 플레시드에서 열린 스케이트 아메리카에서 1위를 차지해 7연속 그랑프리 수위에 올랐지만, 이번 랭킹은 지난 세 시즌 동안 열린 세계선수권, 동계올림픽, 그랑프리 시리즈 및 결승전, 그리고 초청대회 등을 합산한 결과이기 때문에 2위로 밀렸다. 김연아는 보통 그랑프리 및 세계선수권 대회에만 출전한다.
일본의 아사다 마오가 3,779점으로 3위, 캐나다의 조아니 로셰트가 3,165점으로 4위에 올랐다.
