Incheon Mayor Ahn Sang-soo has been selected as the winner of the ``2009 Woodrow Wilson Award.''
Incheon Metropolitan City Government said Tuesday Ahn, the mayor of the nation's second largest port city, will receive the award from the U.S.-based Woodrow Wilson International Center for his achievements in successfully winning a bid to host the 2014 Asian Games and in carrying through various development projects for a free economic zone.
The award is annually given to those who have made outstanding achievements in business and the public sphere. LG Electronics was named as the corporate award winner.
The award ceremony will take place at the Intercontinental Grand Seoul on Sep. 22.
