Publishing Firm Sets up Charity Foundation

Woongjin Group, the nation's major publishing company, Tuesday established its charity foundation to support those suffering from financial hardship and run a variety of social welfare programs.
Shin Hyon-ung, former vice culture minister, was designated as the foundation head.
With 10 billion won of budget donated by Woongjin Group chairman Yoon Seok-keum, the charity will run scholarship programs for talented children in poor living conditions and subsidize multiracial families here to help their settlement in Korea.
