Andy Lee, a member of Korea's longest running boy band Shinhwa, will give a solo concert Jan. 18-23.
Under the title ``ANDY the First... Pretty Miracle for Six Days with Andy,'' Lee will hold seven concerts. Lee will sing songs from his single album, hit songs of Shinhwa and more.
Tickets for his concert were sold out in five minutes. TOP Media, Lee's Agency, announced an additional performance on Jan. 21, which is Lee's birthday, on Tuesday. More tickets will be released today.
Debuting in 1998, Lee was a rapper in the six-member group. In 2003, when the members of Shinhwa began solo projects, Lee chose to be an actor on various dramas, most notably the drama ``Lovers in Prague'' (2005).
He appeared in a homegrown musical ``Music in My Heart'' from last September to December, drawing many hallyu fans to Daehangno, Seoul.
He released his first digital single album ``Extraordinary Imagination'' in November 2007, a cover from the Jinu's song. Yu-bin of Wonder Girls rapped for the song while Park Jin-young, also known as JYP, wrote the lyrics of the rap part.
Lee also participated in Shinhwa's overseas concert in Japan and China in December. Most recently, he debuted as a DJ at Benny Benassi's Party on Dec. 29, 2007.
Members of Shinhwa have been working on their solo projects since their last Seoul concert in 2006. Kim Dong-wan, Lee Min-woo and Shin Hye-sung have all released solo albums while Eric Mun and Jun Jin starred in dramas in Korea and China respectively.
Shinhwa as a group will reunite in March, celebrating their 10th anniversary. They will release their 9th album and hold a concert. Two members, Mun and Kim are expected to enter the military later this year.
Lee's concert will be held at SH Club in Daehangno, northern Seoul. Tickets cost 50,000 won. Call (02) 514-0701 for detailed information.
