Kang Kwon-seok, chairman and chief executive officer of the Industrial Bank of Korea (IBK), died of heart failure at the Severance Hospital of Yonse University in central Seoul Friday. He was 57.
Kang is reported to have received treatment for tonsils tumor since last April. He has got in-house treatment at the Severance Hospital since last Saturday as the tumor got deteriorated. He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral hall of Asan Medical Center in eastern Seoul on Dec. 4.
