Kim Ki-byung, chairman of Lotte Tour, and Kang Duk-young, CEO of Korea United Pharm, have won best business awards from the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) in recognition of their contributions to improving the Korean business field and their alma mater.
The award ceremony, organized by the university's Graduate School of Business, was held Thursday at the InterContinental Hotel located in Samsung-dong, southern Seoul, with 200 guests including Cho Jang-youn, dean of the graduate school, and various alumni.
The award was established in 2001 and has been given to a total of 17 graduates to honor their achievements in the Korean business field.
Kim graduated from HUFS's English department in 1962 and the graduate school in 1997.
Kang obtained a master's degree from the graduate school in 1975.
