Chung Myung-soh, the eldest sister of maestro conductor Chung Myung-whun, died of cancer on Monday. She was 66 years old. Chung passed away in her home in Los Angeles.
Chung Myung-soh was the eldest of seven brothers and sisters. She graduated from the prestigious Julliard School. A distinguished flutist, she later went on to become a choir conductor.
The Chung family is known for their outstanding musical talent. Chung Myung-whun is a world-renowned conductor, while Chung Kyung-hwa is a prominent violinist and Chung Myung-wha is a well-known cellist.
The funeral will be held on the morning of Aug. 23 at a church near her home in Los Angeles.
