What will 2019 be like? What does the new year look like for East Asian leaders, especially for their political positions? This question may come along with the news of the second venue for the Kim-Trump summit scheduled for the end of February 2019.
Kim Jong-un was born with the energy of yin metal in cold winter. The yin metal represents sharp knives and jewelry when it comes to a female saju. The day master of yin metal has discernment. Precise judgment of the situation and emotional control are the strengths of the yin metal.
2018 was the year to give him public attention and at the same time surpass his opposite. 2019 also gives him some reputation with an opportunity to express his opinion. However there will be a certain distortion in its process and outcome.
On the other hand, Trump was born with the energy of yin earth in the month of fire. Fire element represents his self-esteem and it is also combined with authority. Wood elements symbolize the energy of authority and power for him. They may also represent real estate.
2018 was a challenging year because of his competitors. This atmosphere will continue in 2019.
He does not consider anyone else but him because all the elements circulate toward the day master, representing him.
If we talk about the compatibility between the two, both are yin personalities, which denotes introvert energy, practical, self-centered, and calculative in decision making. Kim is yin of yin while Trump is yang of yin. When it comes to a climatic factor, Kim is cold and damp while Trump is hot and dry. They are opposite but if we consider physical aspects, they are compatible because one has a certain propensity that the other doesn't have so they compensate each other's shortcomings. Both are strong as they have abundant energies that generate the day master. Trump seems stronger because of a yang wood element sitting next to the day master making the yin wood greater feeling like a big figure.
The earth element (Trump) actually generates the metal (Kim), as if the rough stone comes out of the mine in terms of the five-element generation cycle. Meanwhile Kim may provide some moisture in return which will ultimately raise the yang wood in Trump's saju. The yang wood represents political dignity for Trump.
From the standpoint of President Moon Jae-in, who is the most compatible? It is hard to select one. Kim Jong-un, born with the yin metal day master, can hurt the day master of President Moon who has yin wood day master. Metal cuts wood. On the other hand, Moon may gain some political benefit by the support of Kim because metal represents authority and political power for the wood day master.
The saju of Trump can provide practical support though. In the saju of Trump, there are strong earth, fire and wood elements. All of them are much needed for that of Moon. For the yin wood born in the month of water, fire of the sun (which is fire element), and nourishment of the field (which is earth element) and wooden support from the yang wood are vital for its survival.
