(345) Saju comparison - Park Geun-hye and Hillary Clinton

Listen

By Janet Shin

It is rather controversial but I am compelled to read the saju of two powerful female public figures, one the current impeached President of Korea, Park Geun-hye, and the other Hillary Clinton who was almost eligible for the U.S. presidency in a recent election.

I hesitated to write this column regarding the captioned two as they are undergoing arduous times for different reasons and might not be pleased to be compared no matter what happened. However I have read their saju in various aspects, especially with regard to their political authorities, which obviously were not related with any kind of ethical or emotional judgments. On top of that, their saju were often advocated by many fortune tellers, including myself for many rationales. Now that 2016 must have been and is still a year of suffering for them, it deserves some consideration why such adversity took place for both and how the two are dissimilar.

Referring to the two saju, I want to make it clear that their hour pillars need to be further verified. Nevertheless you can still notice that their day pillars that represent the present are identical although their birth years and days are not same. For the yang earth day master (the circled yellow in heavenly stem) that stands for the big mountain, the yang wood branch, green in circle implies their authority and political power. On the other hand, the yang wood is symbolized by tigers as a zodiac sign. The tiger is often compared to a supreme power in Eastern countries. It is hard to deny that these saju obviously portray the lives of powerful people. The energy of wood seems to excessively restrain the earth day master in Park’s saju whereas it doesn’t damage that of Clinton’s even though she couldn’t reach such a supreme position.

Nevertheless, there are some factors that make the two different. First of all, no knowledge star (red) is seen in the saju of Park while it is pretty dominant in that of Clinton. Also the letters, yang earth (yellow, 戌) and yang water (black 亥) in the monthly and yearly branches of Clinton’s saju suggest intelligence. This further illustrates the major difference between the two saju.

On top of that the white (metal element) in month stems representing expression stars are different in Chinese characters. To speak more specifically, one is an “eating god” for Clinton and the other is a “hurting god” for Park. As their names allude, the former was titled a lucky god while the latter an unlucky god. Nowadays, with the changes in people’s way of thinking, people do not regard the latter as such an unlucky element. However it is highly required to have the knowledge stars located nearby in order to control inappropriate deeds of the hurting god. It is regretful that the saju of Park doesn’t have the knowledge star that would have compromised with the “hurting god” and supplemented the damage of the career star, green in the day branch.

Yellow – earth (day master and friend star)

White – metal (expression star)

Black – water (money star, her father and wealth)

Green – wood (career star, authority)

Red – fire (knowledge star)
