(314) Everything emits its own energy

Listen

By Janet Shin

Is there anything that makes you smile whenever you see and touch it? Or is there anything else that irritates you? Have you ever experienced that you sometimes feel connections with things and can communicate with them via various means?

The things being mentioned here may include objects as well as matter. I would say people are the most eligible factor to alter our destiny gravely. But let’s focus on things for now. Things are tangible objects, the opposite of abstract ideas. They are indifferent and their properties are only perceived as they are seen and sensed. They also show themselves by the diverse relationship with other objects including humans.

If you have regarded them as just neutral and expressionless, there are many other clues that they may actually influence your sentiments a lot on top of their substantive practicality. The seemingly calm and silent objects emanate varied energies, which are more intensive than you think.

They are perceived as compositions to form our environment as a whole in addition to their utilitarian values. As we all know, we appraise our life based not only on the quality of just being alive and healthy but on our interconnection with external objects, including other people. Human relations are naturally appreciated with their significance more than enough, though they are not always easy to manage. Meanwhile, I suppose that of things are valued more for their commercial worth, such as their brands and functions.

People were able to focus on themselves in primitive times. Obviously surviving the unpredictable and perilous natural world, which could cost people their lives and even the existence of their tribe, was the most impending pursuit. This became a prototype of ancient philosophy, meaning the fundamental contemplation over heaven, earth, and human or the universe in other words.

Later, the progress of scientific development brought abundance in material objects, which in turn distracted our concentration. It apparently provided modern people with affluence and led to a convenient life but people are at the same time affected by various negative energies from their so called material prosperity.

What should we do and how can we discern the influences from the things around us? First, we may think carefully on the things we use intensively, and for the longest time. I must say the appraisal standards change subject to the time and situation we are in. If we take feng shui for example, the classical way of evaluation chiefly focused on the bedroom, kitchen and front door. Nowadays, with the change of lifestyle, kitchens are not as important as before because people eat out frequently. Likewise, there were days when we emphasized writing items, such as a pen, in terms of our daily activities. A pen isn’t regarded as such a precious tool for everybody now except for those who write. By saying that the value standard depends on the time and situation, we must consider one’s occupation and personal preferences such as hobbies.

Other than this, among various daily necessities, electronic items are more influential than others, owing to their energy level and activity.

I often mention cell phones if one wishes to elevate his or her life energy. Most importantly, one must refrain from using any electronic devices that deteriorate the ambience.

Try not to keep one with its display screen cracked. The sound, color and shapes are also cautiously selected. You may use the images on the wallpaper to emanate a positive and lucky energy.

When it comes to your office, you must think about your desk. If you take over a desk from your predecessor, carefully consider his or her performance, whether it was successful and whether he or she achieved a promotion. The intercourse between the objects and their users exude either positive or negative energy and this will seriously affect your life.

Owing to this, I am against the idea of buying or picking up any used items. Our moms and grandmas used to say that “when you bring in anything, you must keep it in the bathroom for a night in order to eliminate any possible poisonous energy” We also heard many stories about ill luck of using things negligently. It applies to the presents we give and receive as well.

The crucial point is how much and how well you sense the energy that is radiated from things. It is your attention and concern about your surroundings and your own life that makes the difference.
